During the early vacation in 2003 (April/May) some of the regular visitors of the Kos-forum on internet were in Kos at the same time. Perfect opportunity to get acquainted during a dinner.

There were some problems finding a restaurant that was already open so early in the season, but finally we found Arap, a Greek/Turkish restaurant in the Turkish quater Platani in Kos.

One day before the dinner I talked to the owner. If the 23rd of April (the day that was planned for dinner) would be too cold in the evening, he would fix us a table inside. We were glad he did; it was rather fresh that evening and sitting outside all night with you coat on is nit the most comfortable way to have dinner.

We were eight: Mieke and Willem with a friend (Joke) who owns an apartment-complex on Kos, Brigitta, Jiska and Tani and, ofcourse, Wilna and Henk.

I am sure everbody will agree when I say it was a very sociable evening.

After dinner was passed by at Bodur (just a 100 yards away) to enjoy the best apple-pie on Kos.
