During our 18th trip to Kos we finally had (made) some time to visit one of the islands close to Kos. We decided to visit Nisyros (Nysiros).
A boat trip to this volcanic island costs in high season 25 euro for the boat and 7 euro for the bus which takes you to the volcano on the island. Outside the high season the costs are 18 and 5 euro. Please book at one of the offices in Kos town; that is much cheaper that booking at the hostess.

We are already in love with Kos, other wise Nisyros would be our number one. The main town Mandraki looks like a town of many years ago. The alleys and the typical Greek blue colour give you the feeling of being in an other world.

Also the trip to the volcano and the descent into the crater impressed me very much.
It is for sure we will return to Nisyros, and in that case not only for one day.
