Plaka is a wooded area between the airport and Kefalos. The many needle-leaved trees give a good protection against the heat in summer. That is why Plaka is a place were many Greek people meet in the evening.

There are many peacocks in Plaka. Unfortunately during our holiday in April/May 2003 we only saw two of them. It is also possible you can see these big birds sitting in a tree.
