About 200.000 people visit the 3rd biggest island of the Dodecanese yearly.<br \/>\nIn July and August it is mostly young people who go there. The local places (bars, dancing\u2019s) are crowded and that is why Kos is also called \u201cparty-island\u201d.<br \/>\nIf you visit Kos outside the high-season, for sure you can find tranquillity. In May\/June the island is very beautiful; it is green and there are lots of flowers everywhere; in September the seawater has a nice temperature and you can enjoy the terraces of the restaurants and bars till late.<\/p>\n<p>Kos is not a big island and many tourists think they have seen the whole island if they rend a car for one day. Of course you can pay a quick visit to the most popular places of interest in one day, but if you really want to see the island, you need many holidays.<br \/>\nDon\u2019t drive only by car, but rend a bike. Kos is also known as the \u201cbike-island\u201d. Many kilometres of cycle-paths lead you along the coast to different small places.
