Kaartje van het eiland Kos, Griekenland

For the English people the island Kos is one of the most popular holiday-destinations in Greece. About 200.000 people visit the 3rd biggest island of the Dodecanese yearly.
In July and August it is mostly young people who go there. The local places (bars, dancing’s) are crowded and that is why Kos is also called “party-island”.
If you visit Kos outside the high-season, for sure you can find tranquillity. In May/June the island is very beautiful; it is green and there are lots of flowers everywhere; in September the seawater has a nice temperature and you can enjoy the terraces of the restaurants and bars till late.

Kos is not a big island and many tourists think they have seen the whole island if they rend a car for one day. Of course you can pay a quick visit to the most popular places of interest in one day, but if you really want to see the island, you need many holidays.
Don’t drive only by car, but rend a bike. Kos is also known as the “bike-island”. Many kilometres of cycle-paths lead you along the coast to different small places. If you are more sporting you can go inland.
www.nwotsok.nl gives the (future) visitor already an impression of all the places of interest on Kos and other special places.
Open yourself for the country and the people and you will experience Kos in a different way.
